By the end of the program, I felt and looked like a completely different person…
“I had the pleasure of engaging the naturopathic services of Sahara on two occasions. The first of these times was at the beginning of 2020. I had been drinking too much Shiraz, eating too much processed food, and the baby weight I had previously lost was slowly making an unwelcome come-back.
My hormones were subsequently a disaster; I had moderate acne on my jawline and neck, my breasts were unbearably sore and hard around ovulation and menstruation, I had considerably bad lower abdominal pain from the beginning of my luteal phase until day two of my cycle, and my moods were all over the shop - you did not want to mess with me for at least a week before the start of my period!
Within four weeks of starting on Sahara’s eight-week program, I noticed a dramatic difference. My boobs weren’t sore anymore. That lower abdominal pain that had been plaguing me had suddenly disappeared. The acne on my jaw and neck had diminished to only a couple of small, insignificant pimples. I was sleeping better. Had more energy. Less brain-fog.
I felt better than I had in years, and by the sixth week of the program, the comments started: “you’ve lost weight!” “OMG…. You’re shrinking”!
I was also loving eating veggies again. I wasn’t missing alcohol at all. I craved my apple cider vinegar before meals, and my daily journaling practice that I had rekindled. And the thought of eating processed foods again, made me feel sick.
I was also really loving the weekly chats with Sahara to “download” the week that was and discuss and conquer any new revelations that had manifested. She helped me to make sense of my emotions and put things into a more positive perspective.
By the end of the eight-week program, I felt and looked like a completely different person.
The second time I engaged Sahara was at the beginning of 2021. After the turbulent year that was 2020, bad habits started to creep back into the routine, and although my acne didn’t come back, and my hormones remained fairly balanced, I felt I needed a tune up.
So, I embarked on a shorter four week program with Sahara. Similar in nature to the first one, but without the weekly chats and daily activities. It was easier in the respect that it took less time commitment, however in hindsight I think another eight-week program with more of Sahara’s support would have resulted in a better outcome the second time around. Nevertheless, I felt good and was back on track once again by the end of the four weeks.
I would not hesitate to recommend Sahara as your Naturopath. Her knowledge surpasses other Naturopaths I have engaged with in the past, particularly around hormones, the menstruation cycle and tapping into the power of the feminine - an area of knowledge which blew my mind.
She is also lovely, kind, and supportive to boot. A true angel on earth.”
